He has brokered over $100 million in self storage transactions. Omega Properties, Inc. was formed in 1979 as a Commercial Investment Real Estate firm. The company has been active in site selection, land development and particularly self storage. Mr. Barnhill owns and operates six self storage facilities in Alabama.

Stuart LaGroue
has been involved in Commercial Real Estate and specializing in self storage brokerage since 2004. He is licensed in Alabama, Mississippi, Florida and Louisiana, and is also a partner in Storage South Management, LLC. Stuart served on the Board of the Alabama Self Storage Association (ALSSA) from 2007 - 2012. In 2009, he served as President of ALSSA and for the two years prior to that he served as Treasurer. He is a member and serves on the Board of the Kiwanis Club of Daphne-Spanish Fort, AL, as Membership Chairman. Stuart is also a Cub Scout Den Leader for Pack 177 in Spanish Fort. In addition, he serves on the Mobile Area Council Boy Scouts of America Executive Board as well as the Spanish Fort Fire Department Board. He is married to Shelly LaGroue, a partner with Forwood & LaGroue, LLC, a local CPA firm. He is the proud father of two sons.Stuart earned his Bachelor's of Science from Auburn University and is currently a CCIM Candidate.

Shannon Barnhill Barnes, CCIM has worked at Omega Properties, Inc. since 2003 and began her career in Commercial Real Estate in 2005. As an affiliate of The Argus Self Storage Sales Network, her primary focus is in the self storage brokerage business. She manages 7 self storage facilities locally in Mobile, AL. Shannon is licensed in Alabama, Mississippi, Florida and Louisiana.
She holds the coveted Certified Commercial Investment Member designation and is currently President-Elect of the Alabama CCIM Chapter Gulf Coast District and served as Vice-President in 2011. Shannon is a partner in Storage South Management, LLC since inception in 2008. She is a member and serves on the Board of the Alabama Self Storage Association (ALSSA).
She is a graduate of The University of Alabama where she majored in Finance. Shannon is a member of the Junior League of Mobile. She is married to Jason Barnes and has a beautiful baby boy. Shannon is a member of the CCIM Institute, National Association of Realtors, Alabama Association of Realtors, Mobile Association of Realtors and the Mobile Commercial Exchange Club.
