Meet Bill Barnhill

C. William Barnhill, CCIM, PhD, has been in the Commercial Real Estate Business over 30 years.  He has been actively involved as owner and broker in the self storage business for 13 years.  As President and owner of Omega Properties, Inc., Mr. Barnhill has been an active broker, developer, consultant and manager of self storage properties.  He has brokered over $100 million in self storage transactions.  Omega Properties, Inc. was formed in 1979 as a Commercial Investment Real Estate firm.  The company has been active in site selection, land development and particularly self storage.  Mr. Barnhill owns and operates six self storage facilities in Alabama.

Meet Stuart LaGroue

Stuart LaGroue has been involved in Commercial Real Estate and specializing in self storage brokerage since 2004.  He has been involved in the brokerage of over $30 million in transactions in Alabama, Mississippi and Florida.  Currently, Stuart serves as a board member of the Alabama Self Storage Association (ALSSA).  In 2009, he served as President of ALSSA and for the two years prior to that he served as Treasurer.  Stuart earned his Bachelor's of Science from Auburn University and is currently a CCIM candidate.

Shannon Barnhill Barnes has been in Commercial Real Estate since 2005.  Along with specializing in self storage, she also manages 6 self storage facilities locally in Mobile, AL.  Shannon is currently a CCIM Candidate and is working toward her designation.  Shannon is licensed in Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida.  She earned her Bachelors of Science from the University of Alabama.

Allen Barnhill has 20 years experience in real estate investment and self storage.   Allen is licensed in Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama and represents Argus in Georgia.  As a partner with fellow Argus affiliate Ron Mitchell, Allen successfully developed and owned two all climate-controlled self storage facilities in Alabama and Florida totaling over 280,000 square feet of space from 1995 through 2005.  Allen earned a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of South Alabama and a MBA from Auburn University where he graduated in 1987.

P. John DeStefano has been a commercial real estate broker since 2001, specializing in income producing properties, commercial development, and self storage brokerage, development and management. In 2005, DeStefano formed Commercial Investment Group, LLC and serves as its President and Broker In Charge. As a former VP of a large commercial contracting firm, John brings a wealth of real world experience when working with first time developers of self storage facilities. John graduated from the College of Charleston in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on business law and a minor in Biology. John is completing his final course work towards his CCIM Designation.

N.J. "Joey" Godbold is a principal and President of Percival McGuire Commercial Real Estate and leads a team of over a dozen commercial real estate professionals who are active in North and South Carolina.  In his personal practice, Joey specializes in light industrial and investment properties and he has over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate brokerage, management, appraisal and development.  He has developed a privately-held chain of self storage facilities in South Alabama and Northwest Florida, during which time his firm managed over 1,800 units.  He remains active in the self storage industry through continued ownership of his first facility and as the Argus Self Storage Sales Network Broker Affiliate for the state of North Carolina.
